All About Me
HPD, DipHPsych, DipNLP&Coaching, FRTC, CertSM, Nutritional Therapist
Before becoming a qualified therapist I worked in a range of caring and medical professions. I was a student nurse and I worked in hospitals and nursing homes and in people’s houses in the community as a health care assistant. I also worked with Derbyshire County Council’s Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities team caring for men and women with severe mental and physical health issues. I thoroughly enjoyed these roles, and during this time I became aware of the fact that many patients and relatives were unable to access supportive mental health services that they required within a reasonable time frame.
This realisation led me to investigate how I could become qualified to help people in this manner. I now hold professional qualifications in clinical hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, NLP, nutritional therapy and stress management. I have undertaken specialist IBS and smoking cessation training along with Human Givens training in anxiety, depression, anger, stress and addiction. I am passionate about my work and regularly undertake supervision and continued professional development.
Through my own life experiences, my medical experience, coaching and mentoring training and my professional qualifications, I can help you. I say help, because I will work with you. Together we will develop your coping skills and change your thought patterns, your emotional response and your behaviour towards the concerns you have right now. You will find that the work we do will support you as you move confidently through life and you will soon begin to feel much better equipped to achieve much more than you might think possible right now.
After all, your mind matters!
